For the time being, the Powell branch of Wells Fargo Bank is closed, as employees of Powell and Cody branches are teaming together to offer banking services through the Cody location.
“We were short-staffed, so we came together to be able to offer both drive-thru and in-person banking services in Cody,” said a Wells Fargo spokesperson in Cody.
She explained that Powell branch employees were brought to Cody to be able to provide both in-person and drive-up banking at the Cody Wells Fargo branch; Powell and Cody Wells Fargo banks had been offering drive-up services only.
As far as reopening the Powell branch, the response was there is no set date, “but hopefully soon.”
