Dear Editor:
Proponents of an expansive view of the Second Amendment use the argument that guns are necessary in order to overthrow a tyrannical government. Watching events unfold over the past couple of years, it has become apparent to me that tyranny is in the eye of the beholder.
We currently have a president that flouts the rule of law when it suits him, a Senate that enables such behavior while conducting some dubious shenanigans of their own and a cadre of the electorate that threatens armed resistance against not the current behavior of our government, but of the government that may follow after the next election.
Go figure.
