Dear Friends of Powell Valley Loaves and Fishes,
“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” (John Holmes). What an exercise in heart you have shown us! The Loaves and Fishes board would like to express our thanks for the countless blessings gifted to us by our Powell community. We would not exist without your frequent kindnesses.
Our pantry provides for local families in need. As a board, it is our intent to safeguard the nutrition, safety, and distribution of food, to every family, as mandated by Wyoming Food Bank/USDA protocols. So as we enter a new ‘season of giving’, we have prepared a set of guidelines to help ensure these protocols are met. To begin the process, we are requesting community groups and businesses to notify a board member at least one to two weeks prior to any food drive event. That board member or another volunteer, will partner with your organization for the duration of the food drive and also provide a packet with the guidelines mentioned above. We are asking for your assistance and requesting to be a part of the entire process — from planning to delivery.
The Powell Valley Loaves and Fishes would like to thank you for your continued support in reaching out to the hungry in our community. Your volunteerism is valued and appreciated. We certainly look forward to partnering with you in the future.
