Dear editor:
I am writing in response to the lamp post note found in the city park. The young girl writing this has been convinced of so many things that are not true. One of the most important things is that she would be shot if she said these things. I’m sorry but who has scared this poor child? How many people do you know have been shot for saying they supported the killing of children in abortion? I know none. If you know of someone, please tell me.
She does have freedom of speech. Once again, who has made her think that she does not? What adult is scaring this poor child? One thing it does mean though is that when we speak our ideas get challenged, which is a good thing. It helps us to know where our ideas are weak or uninformed or just plain wrong.
Another lie that she has believed is that an ectopic pregnancy needs an abortion. Yes, the pregnancy is not viable, but it is NOT considered an abortion. Come on, grownups. Stop frightening children.
Yes, we all own our own bodies but why hasn’t someone told her that the baby inside of her is someone else’s body? Half of those children would have grown up to be a young girl like herself. Something that I’m sure she didn’t think of, and that I find funny, is that pro-choicers didn’t think this argument applied when it really was our body that was forced to wear masks and get vaccines.
Could you please tell me where abortion is illegal for poor women of color? That is the exact opposite of the truth. There are more abortion mills in low-income neighborhoods of color than anywhere else. Watch Maafa 21, which talks about the black genocide dreamed of by Margaret Sanger.
She is also misinformed about the care that pro-lifers have for people. We love trans people, along with all the others she mentioned. Regarding the trans issue, I think one day we will look back on this social experiment like we have with lobotomies and forced sterilizations. Bodily mutilations and sterilization are only a couple of the reasons that pro-lifers are so against transitioning, especially for children. Contrary to prevailing thought, it is actually loving to not let someone injure themselves through life altering surgeries and medications.
I wonder if this young girl knows of any other criminals whose children are given the death penalty? I don’t think that any child should be made to pay the ultimate price for the sins of their father, even when their father is a rapist.
Adults, we can do better. Please stop scaring children.
