Shame on you, Liz Cheney

Dear Editor:

Anyone watching the Congressional Select Committee hearings regarding the Jan. 6, 2020, riot at the nation’s Capitol cannot help but be struck by the bias of the Democrats and Ms. Liz Cheney. All of the news clips shown by the committee’s Democratic representatives and Ms. Cheney have publicly conceded that the news clips used by the committee were selectively picked to convey the committee’s sense of what occurred on Jan. 6.

What has not been stated by the committee is their desire to portray former President Trump as the instigator of the rioting that occurred on Jan. 6 and the break-in of the nation’s Capitol. Regardless of the media clips selected by the committee it is obvious that the Democratic members of the committee, and Ms. Cheney, detest former President Trump. It is also obvious that the committee has deliberately shown anything and everything that might convince citizens that Mr. Trump is not fit to ever again serve as president of the United States of America.

In addition to the committee’s selection of the most negative news clips of former President Trump prior to Jan. 6, was its decision to deny congressmen such as Jim Jordan and James Banks to participate on the Jan. 6 select committee. Regardless of comments to the contrary, the committee did not want any committee members who would question the veracity of the committee’s slanted view of the former president and/or attempt to defend his actions in any way. In other words, the committee had predetermined to find President Trump guilty of causing the Jan. 6 riot and of his possible intention to cause an insurrection designed to overthrow our elected government. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Upon review of documented evidence, it’s impossible to believe that President Trump attempted to instigate an insurrection on Jan. 6. All evidence proves that President Trump advised the United States Military, the Washington, D.C., mayor, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi of his concern about the potential for violence relating to the planned Jan. 6 activities. In fact, President Trump authorized up to 20,000 National Guard troops to guard the Capitol to ensure that any violence stemming from the protest would be met with force. Speaker Pelosi and the D.C. mayor refused repeated requests to accept his offer of assistance.

Anyone watching Liz Cheney go along with the Democratically-controlled congressional hearings and has listened to her inane comments must ask themselves if Ms. Cheney is fit to be a Republican representative and more specifically, a representative for the state of Wyoming.

When you elect representatives such as Liz Cheney, what you get is a government that: 1) virtually shuts down the production if its own oil and natural gas; 2) creates inflation of historic proportions; 3) creates massive supply chain shortages; 4) allows for the influx of millions of illegal immigrants and countless deadly drugs; 5) accepts a gross domestic product that is lower than its country’s money supply; 6) enables the establishment of crime policies that release criminals as fast as they are apprehended; 7) does little to admonish criminals who resort to “smash and grab” robberies; 8) sits idly by while there is massive destruction of public buildings and other government  property; 9) sits by while thousands of jobs go unfilled because of excessive government entitlements; 10) takes no action while hundreds of law enforcement personnel are slaughtered each year; 11) is disrespected by its foreign adversaries; 12) takes no action to control the Federal Reserve as 401ks and other savings accounts are decimated; and 13) continues to support a president who is incapable of conducting an intelligent conversation.

Is that the kind of America you want? If so, then you may want to give Ms.Cheney another two years as your Wyoming representative. If your answer is no, you should support someone who will be a true Republican.
