Sandra “Grandma Sandy” Louise Hartog, 74, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away on July 15, 2022, with her daughter by her side. Sandy faced cancer treatment with grace over the last 16 months. She was preparing for the next steps in her treatment; however, the good Lord thought otherwise. She is now healed and resting in the arms of Jesus.

Sandy is survived by her brothers, Charles Jr., Floyd, and their families; her three children, Tami Dayley (Shane), Toni Brimmer (Matt) and Martin Hartog (Angela). She leaves behind six grandchildren, Cody (Kaitlyn), Jessica, Jacob (Cyan), Brittany, Anthony, and Kailee; nine great-grandchildren, Hannah Jael, Dodie Tirzah, Ephraim Hosea, Aliza Rona, Azariah Nahum, Zephaniah Enoch, Zatana Scott, Moriah Jubilee and Pepper Marie; honorary granddaughter Kiya; her mom Kendall; and special friends, Marcia, Bonita and all the Catholic Daughters who filled her life the last few years.

Sandy was born on May 15, 1948, in Lusk, Wyoming, to Charles and Gertrude Kirkham. She grew up in Billings, Montana, and Powell, and graduated from Powell High School in 1966. After graduation, she moved to L.A. and attended Tom Ford Modeling School pursuing her love of fashion and modeling.

Mom devoted her life to her family and her children. She raised her three children as a single working mother while studying Early Childhood Education. Through the years as her grandchildren were born, she was able to assist each of her children with child care. This took her from Billings, to Las Vegas, Nevada, and she finally settled in Klamath Falls, with her youngest grandchild.

For the last 16 years, Grandma Sandy had provided child care in her home to many children of emergency responders, the medical community, and military families. She was a USAF Childcare Provider for the Air National Guard drill weekends. She treated each child as if they were one of her own grandchildren. There was never a drop off too early or a pickup too late.

Grandma Sandy was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.

Mass will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 815 High Street, in Klamath Falls. A luncheon will be held immediately following in the Parish Hall.
