Dear Editor:
In our Oct. 25 Tribune there is a letter from Mark Vondersaar telling voters to write-in Liz Cheney on our upcoming midterm ballots. Liz Cheney apparently, at one time, did care about the people of Wyoming but that has gone by the wayside as she leads the hatred panel for our former president.
If you go to govtrack.us/congress/members/liz_cheney/412732 you will find that from January 2020 to September 2022 Cheney had 1167 opportunities to vote but she did not vote 152 times. In that case Wyoming was not represented 13% of the time.
While we understand the hatred of Trump because he was outspoken and sometimes acted inappropriately, we learned so much from him about our own government and how it has been weaponized against the very people it is supposed to care about. The world was safe under Donald Trump because Korea, Russia and China were afraid of him. He actually cared about this country.
Can you really say Cheney cares about us when she spends most of her time on a panel that has not proven a thing while spending millions of our hard earned money?
Sincerely,
Linda & Bob Graff
Powell
