Thursday night marked the first event in the Powell Golf Club’s new Couples Tournament Series. The 19 duos in attendance played nine holes in a two-person Chapman format.
Although billed as a couples event, any male/female pairing was welcome.
The team of Mycah Wainscott and Dwight Gilbert won the event, finishing with a total net score of 31.
Jason and Jill Quigley finished just one stroke behind, with a net score of 32. Just behind them, Charlie and Cris Noakes logged a net score of 33.
And tying for fourth place, Dana Kinney and Jeff Kipley and Rich and Kris Olmsted finished with a net of 35.
A total of $380 in prize money was allocated, $100 of which went to Wainscott and Gilbert.
The series continues this Thursday, with the competition moving to a shamble format.
