The Polestar Outdoors shooting team recently competed at the Cody Round Up event from June 17-19 at the Cody Shooting Complex. Shooters participated in both team and individual events, with Polestar putting together excellent performances in both categories.
The five-stand varsity squad of Hannah Sears, Kaydence Hoffert, Jace Nordeen, Garrett Tharp and Scotty Riedinger placed third. And the junior varsity sporting clays team of Hunter Davis, Isaac Wilson and Wyatt Heffington also finished third.
Individually, Charlotte Heffington was a standout in the intermediate entry level division. She placed second in the sporting clays, five-stand and skeet, along with a third-place in trap shooting. Also in the intermediate entry level, Sears placed third in the five-stand.
“The team, as a whole, did very well,” coach Randy Sears said. “We had a few shooters who had never been in a competition that big. It was the toughest competition we have seen all season.”
