Patricia Belle Wise passed away peacefully at the Spirit Mountain Hospice in Cody on Oct. 22, 2019.
She was born and raised in Peoria, Arizona, to Ivor Sr. and Zelda Franklin. Her siblings included brothers Ivor Jr. and Benjamin. Her sisters are Marjorie Ladd, Lydia Franklin, Geraldine and Emma Jean.
Patricia married Leslie M. Wise on Sept. 25, 1948, and raised four children: Patrick, Mike, Robin and Greg. The Midwest was home for many years due to her husband’s career moves to Evanston, Illinois, White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Albert Lea, Minnesota, Green Bay, Wisconsin, Amery, Wisconsin, and finally retiring in Sun City, Arizona. Patricia spent her last years in Powell.
Patricia worked at 3M company in Minneapolis as a courier for Montgomery Wards and co-owner of the Red Owl grocery store in Amery. Pat and Les enjoyed camping, golfing, bridge, bowling, Bible studies and traveling. She especially enjoyed crafting, beading, and Facebook in her later years.
Pat had a special talent for giving care and compassion to others whenever she was able. Patricia was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a special friend to many during her life. Patricia was a devout Christian and witnessed for Jesus whenever she had the opportunity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters Geraldine and Emma Jean, husband Les, son Patrick, and grandson Noah.
Survivors include sisters Marjorie and Lydia and sister-in-law Frieda Franklin; son Mike (Pam), Omaha, Nebraska; grandson Ryan; great-grandchildren Jacob and Leighton; granddaughter Sunni (Mike Renner); great grandson Brett; great-granddaughter Haley; her daughter Robin Wise, Chanhassen, Minnesota; grandson Daren; with great-grandchildren Sophia and Harrison; grandson Gavin; son Greg (Sue) of Powell; granddaughter Kirsten (John Warren) with great-granddaughter Nevaeh; and also grandsons Sam and Cooper (Courtnie). Pat is also survived by Patrick’s wife Connie of Deer Park, Wisconsin, with grandsons Michael, Jacob and Josh. Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Penny Sandahl, who was especially close to her heart.
Services will be held Monday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m., at Glad Tidings Church, 777 E. Seventh Street in Powell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Patricia’s name to Rocky Mountain Manor, 140 N. Cheyenne Street, Powell, WY 82435.
