ORDINANCE NO. 2, 2025
AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF THE REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED BELOW, FROM AGRICULTURAL CULTIVATION (A-C), TO R-M, RESIDENTIAL MIXED-USE DISTRICT.
THE PROPERTY TO BE ZONED AS R-M RESIDENTIAL MIXED-USE IS DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Stonecrest Subdivision, located within Annexation Plat of Stonecrest Addition, Tract 3, Lot 63, Resurvey Township 55 North, Range 99 West, 6th Principal Meridian, City of Powell, Park County Wyoming.
WHEREAS, there has been previously annexed into the City of Powell the following real property which was zoned as A-C, Agricultural Cultivation, pursuant to Chapter 17.64 of the Powell Municipal Code said real property more particularly described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Stonecrest Subdivision, located within Annexation Plat of Stonecrest Addition, Tract 3, Lot 63, Resurvey Township 55 North, Range 99 West, 6th Principal Meridian, City of Powell, Park County Wyoming.
WHEREAS, the property owners have requested that the zoning for this property be rezoned and designated as R-M, Residential Mixed-Use District, pursuant to Chapter 17.32 of the Powell Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, public hearings were held by the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission on February 24, 2025, at 7:00 o’clock p.m., and by the Governing Body of the City of Powell on March 3, 2025, at 6:00 o’clock p.m., in Council Chambers of City Hall, Powell, Park County, Wyoming, pursuant to notices given as required by law, regarding the proposed change in zoning designation and proposed ordinance changing said zoning district designation for the property.
WHEREAS, the Powell Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that the subject property be rezoned pursuant to the Property owner’s request, from its current zoning designation of A-C, Agricultural Cultivation to a zoning designation of R-M, Residential Mixed-Use District, pursuant to Chapter 17.32 of the Powell Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordained by the Governing Body of the City of Powell, Park County, Wyoming, as follows:
SECTION 1. The zoning designation for the property described herein is hereby changed from its current designation of A-C Agricultural Cultivation District, to a designation of R-M, Residential Mixed-Use District pursuant to Chapter 17.32 of the Powell Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon adoption and publication as required by law.
