The Northwest College Photographic Communications program will host its annual photo expo on Friday, Sept. 13, featuring Steph Parker, the Midwest region technical rep for SIGMA America camera lenses. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Dietrich Photo Studio inside the Fagerberg Building on the NWC campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parker will share information on SIGMA lenses for Canon and Nikon cameras, and attendees are invited to bring their cameras to try out the selection of lenses for themselves. Parker will also be available to answer any photography-related questions. The photo expo includes a presentation by NWC Assistant Professor of Photography Jennifer Litterer-Trevino at 11 a.m., titled Tips for Macro Photography.
In addition to her time on campus as part of the expo, Parker will also spend the weekend traveling with the NWC Photographic Communications students in the annual Outdoor Freshman Experience class. As part of that experience, SIGMA lenses will be made available for students to photograph the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem throughout the trip.
