Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Powell Ministerial Association we offer a heartfelt, “Thank you!” to the many volunteers and donors who helped during this year’s Thanksgiving Community Dinner.
We served a little more than 600 meals this year — 70 of which were delivered to those unable to make it to the fairgrounds.
As a newcomer to Powell it speaks well of our community that we would all pull together to support this event. Donations collected will be used to cover the 2019 expenses and the rest will be given to the Serenity Pregnancy Resource Center.
It was wonderful to see those who were able to join us for the meal enjoying the food and good company. Old friends got to see each other and new friendships were made. We ultimately give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave us the opportunity and ability to meet the needs of others. We pray that God will continue to strengthen and provide for our community in the upcoming year.
