Lori Lee Lohrenz, 66, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 30, 2022, with family at her side in Billings, Montana.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1955, in Powell, to Donald and Gloria Christensen. Lori was raised on the Willwood along with her brother Scott and sister Jodi.

She graduated from Powell High School in 1974. She married the love of her life, Randy Lohrenz, on Dec. 8, 1978. Together they raised their daughter Lorissa in Powell.

Lori was a dedicated wife and mother, and family was the core of her being. Holiday gatherings and celebrations were her most cherished times and she loved cooking for everyone. She adored time spent with her nieces, Erika and Carly of Billings. They would “shop ‘til they dropped.” Lori was a dedicated caregiver to the elderly folks in her life as well as the children that she babysat. She was more than a caregiver; she was an angel. She never turned down an animal that Lorissa or Randy brought home unexpectedly, and she enjoyed her pets immensely.

She had a love for gardening, cooking, collecting artifacts, and never missed a chance to pick asparagus, often with her second daughter, Heidi Snyder Knop. She adored the home and land she shared with her husband Randy, and especially enjoyed the time she was able to spend with him after his retirement as they became closer than ever. In recent years Lori relished the time she was able to spend with her daughter and son-in-law in Billings.

Lori is survived by her husband Randy of Powell, her daughter and husband Norm Hoppe of Billings, her father Donald (Willie Bell) of Powell, and sister Jodi (Shawn) Byrne of Billings. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Gloria and brother Scott, as well as her in-laws Harvey and Dorothy Lohrenz.

A celebration of life is planned for later this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Park County Animal Shelter.
