Several students with local ties will serve as senators in the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW) in the coming year.

Danna Hanks of Powell, who is studying pharmacy, will represent the College of Health Sciences. Sydney Horton of Otto, who is studying international relations and finance, was elected to represent the College of Arts and Sciences.

Anna Savage of Greybull will represent the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources. She is studying environmental systems science.

ASUW senators serve on various committees and represent their colleges in budgetary and policy matters affecting all UW students. The student government oversees a budget of more than $1 million, including funding for a variety of student programs.
