After serving as a volunteer, Cody Kalberer is officially joining the Powell High School wresting team’s coaching staff next season. Starting with the 2020-21 campaign, he’ll serve as an assistant under newly named head coach Nick Fulton.
Kalberer previously coached at Powell Middle School — where he works as a math teacher — and has volunteered “hundred of hours toward the program,” said PHS Activities Director Scott McKenzie.
“Cody [Kalberer] was a standout wrestler for the Panthers and understands what it takes to be successful as a wrestler,” McKenzie said, adding that, “We look forward to having Coach Kalberer continue working with our athletes.”
