Joyce E. Campbell of Powell died on Aug. 4, 2020, at Spirit Mountain Hospice in Cody. She was 88.

Joyce was born to Robert and Louise Hayes Taylor on May 16, 1932, in London, England. She immigrated to the United States when she was 19 and later became an American citizen, which was a point of pride for Joyce.

She came to the U.S. after meeting Theodore “Ted” Munsinger, an Air Force member who had been stationed in England. They were married in Reno, Nevada, in 1951 and moved to Powell in 1969. Prior to Ted’s death in 1973, the couple had nine children; Joyce’s kids, grandkids and great-grandkids were her everything.

On Dec. 18, 1976, Joyce married James Campbell. He became not only her husband but Dad to their nine children.

Joyce was a member of the Lovell Bible Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, bowling and bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Rick Munsinger.

Joyce is survived by her husband Jim; her brothers Ron (Pat) Taylor of London and Dave (Dee) Taylor of Bakersfield, California; and sister Jean Harding of California. She is also survived by her children John (Jessie) Munsinger, Carol (Richard) O’Brien, Steven (Nancy) Munsinger, Sue (Jim) Julich, Deb (Tim) Worden, Cathy (Roger) Nelson, Michelle (Todd) Stebner and Christine (Jim) Sanders; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Spirit Mountain Hospice House.

Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
