To thank healthcare workers for their dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic, Stillwater Hospice of Northern Wyoming recently delivered baskets to 36 facilities throughout the Big Horn Basin.
Volunteers Mary Vining and Dale Willavize assembled the baskets while two employees of Lovell-based hospice, Joyce Harkins and Tracy Peterson, delivered them over the Memorial Day weekend.
“The nursing home employees are the only family that their residents are allowed to see, the hospital and clinic workers never know when a highly contagious person is going to present for treatment; therefore, these workers deserve recognition and thanks,” Stillwater Hospice said in a news release, adding, “We appreciate the numerous healthcare workers who put themselves out there on a daily basis to care for others.”
