As large group gatherings continue to be prohibited during the COVID-19 pandemic, local churches have come up with creative ways to continue serving their congregation and community. On Friday night, Pastor Donna Putney with Hope Lutheran Church hosted a drive-by prayer time.
People drove up to her home on North Day Street and shared prayer requests from their vehicles. Keeping a safe distance, Putney prayed for their specific prayer requests and prayed a blessing for each person. A number of vehicles stopped by throughout the evening. Pastor Putney and her husband, Mike Giese, also gave each participant a dessert.
Hope Lutheran gathers at the American Dream Drive-In each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
