It’s that time of year when things close and schedules change. In case you need to pick up something at the store or wondering when your trash bin is going to be emptied, here is what you need to know.
Blair’s Super Market will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day. It will reopen at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
The Market at Powell (formerly known as Mr. D’s) will be open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day. It will reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday.
The Powell Post Office will be open until noon on Christmas Eve, with package pickup until 3 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day. The City of Powell offices will be closed on both days.
There will be no city trash collection on Christmas. Routes will resume on Monday. There will be no trash pickup on Jan. 1, either, with routes resuming on Jan. 4.
The Powell Valley Healthcare Clinic will be closed on Christmas, and 307Health will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Powell Drug will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday and closed Christmas. They will also close at 1 p.m. on Saturday, resuming normal hours on Monday.
The Powell Aquatic Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day. It will reopen at noon on Saturday.
