Heating up in June, the Good Old Boys game of choice was two net best ball on June 11, taking to the fairways at the Powell Golf Club.
In this game, each team uses the two best next balls for their score, with the team of Jim Tobin, Paul Devoss, Thom Seliga and Cas Seago winning with a 128.
A tight race throughout saw the second place team of Manuel Briseno, Tracy Copenhaver, Ray Nelson and Dave Frost finishing with a 130.
One stroke behind with a 131 was the team of Don Hardy, Lloyd Snyder, Terry Lane and Dennis McCollum.
Another stroke separated fourth from third, as Ed Swistak, Joe Comer, Buddy Rae and Steve Burtoft finished fourth.
Rounding out the team scores was the team of John Donovan, Rhett Wolff, Marc Saylor and Randy Mair with a 137.
Two deuces total were carded, each by Comer and McCollum on hole no. 4.
The low net was a tie by Snyder and McCollum with a 71. Low gross went to Copenhaver with an 82.
