PUBLIC NOTICE
The Wyoming Public Service Commission (Commission) approved the Application of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. (MDU) to pass on a commodity (gas) cost decrease of $1.095 per Dth to its Optional Seasonal General Gas Service (Rate 72) customers, effective for use on and after April 1, 2021. The commodity (gas) rates for MDU’s Rate 72 customers alternate between winter (October 1 through March 31) and summer (April 1 through September 30) rates. The proposed rate decrease is for MDU’s Rate 72 summer rate.
MDU is not seeking a purchased gas cost adjustment change to its Residential, Firm General Service, Small Interruptible, or Large Interruptible rates in this Application. The Commission’s approval is subject to notice, protest, intervention, refund, change, further investigation, opportunity for hearing and further order of the Commission.
Commission Rule Chapter 3, Section 26 allows a utility to pass on to its customers known or projected commodity cost increases or decreases on a dollar-for-dollar basis, subject to public notice, opportunity for hearing and refund.
MDU’s Application is on file at the Commission’s offices in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and is available for inspection by any interested person during business hours or online at https://psc.wyo.gov.
Anyone desiring to file a statement, intervention petition, protest or request for a public hearing in this matter must file in writing with the Commission on or before May 26, 2021. A proposed intervention or request for hearing must set forth the grounds under which they are made and the position and interest of the petitioner in this proceeding.
