Gala generates $15,000 for Heritage Health

Heritage Health Center netted about $15,000 from its second annual community fundraiser, attended by a crowd of about 200 in late November.

Revenues were generated from contributing sponsors, ticket sales and auction proceeds.

“We had an awesome turnout,” said HHC executive director Colette Mild. “I don’t think there was an empty seat; in fact, we had to improvise to create a few extra tables.”

The health center CEO expressed appreciation at the community response. HHC has been operating in Powell for a little over four years.

“I saw a number of new faces, which tells me the health center is reaching new people, and the community is really starting to see value in our presence,” she said. “The Rewinders provided fantastic music, and [Powell Valley Healthcare] catering did an excellent job with the food.”

Funds raised at the gala “will allow us to expand our integrated  health model and provide us assistance in going the extra mile for our patients,” Mild added.
