Faulkner inducted into honor society

Teo Faulkner, a 2017 Powell High School graduate, was recently inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).

Leading up to her Dec. 7 induction at Casper College, Faulkner completed multiple hours of classes and helped with a food drive on campus, a school fundraiser and a walk for victims of domestic abuse, among other projects.

“They’re big on giving back to the community,” Faulkner said of the honor society, which is also known as Sigma Alpha Pi.

Because of her community service and interest in becoming a leader, Faulkner also received a National Engaged Leader Award from the NSLS.

For members, joining the honor society comes with various benefits, including leadership opportunities and the potential to receive additional scholarships, she said.

Faulkner graduated from Casper College this month with an associate’s degree in pre-occupational therapy. She’s also working on a bachelor’s degree in psychology through the University of Wyoming online — and ultimately plans to pursue a doctorate of occupational therapy at the University of North Dakota.
