Park County Elections staff will be conducting the public testing of the Election Day, early voting and high speed vote tabulators on Sept. 19 and 20. The public is invited.
While in the past staff have completed this all in one day, this year due to construction in the public works/old jail where election equipment is stored normally public is not allowed in the building.
Staff are required to temporarily move Election Day equipment to the coroner’s building is located behind the Law Enforcement Center, 1402 River View Drive. The equipment will be secured there by 24/7 surveillance and a multifactor authentication lock system.
On the Sept. 19 staff will meet the public at the coroners building at 9 a.m. to test and seal the election day equipment.
On Sept. 20 staff will meet the public at the elections office in the courthouse at 2 p.m. to test and seal the early voting and high speed tabulators.
