Democrats never accepted Trump’s presidency

Dear Editor:

I find it quite funny that people have forgotten the long ago election of Trump in 2016. Temper tantrums, especially by Hillary Clinton, were the norm. Rioting did occur. The Donald Trump Syndrome became a buzz word for those who were too immature to handle the situation. The Democrats never accepted his presidency and treated him with disgust and distain for four years.

I also find it funny that of all the people who hate Trump, we never hear what he has done to them to make them hate him so much. The words of the day, of course, are racist, misogynist and white supremacist, etc., none of which has ever been substantiated. When you point a finger at Trump for these things, do you notice that your thumb is pointing back at you? The Democrats seem to love to point fingers.

Nancy Pelosi, when asked if she hated Trump, told the reporter she was a devout Catholic and could not hate anyone. Her actions spoke much louder than her words. She also kept the House from acting on anything that Trump presented to them, making sure their constituents had no representation in a forum where the people’s voice should be the loudest.

Did I throw a tantrum when Biden won? No, though I felt a sadness for this great country, or formerly great country. I can’t wait to see what Kamala Harris does when The Great Place Holder gets shoved aside.

While I will always respect your right to have a different opinion, I would like you to respect my right to the same thing. After all, that is what democracy is all about ... or, at least it used to be.

Be careful of your wishes for this country right now. It will probably come back to haunt you.
