David Lee Keefer, age 65, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 29, 2017. He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer until the Lord called him to his forever home.
Dave was born April 9, 1952, in Ypsilanit, Michigan, to Byron and Nelva (Browning) Keefer. He grew up and graduated high school in Belleville, Michigan.
Dave moved his family to Cody, Wyoming, in 1984 while working with Bell Telephone Company.
Dave believed in Christ, his family, and the need for a good meal. His beautiful blue eyes were the first thing you noticed, and then his infectious smile. He could make anyone laugh and he never met a stranger.
He loved his wife Jan of five years, his kids, Becky Keefer, and Nathan (Niki) Keefer, and his seven amazing grandkids. He could not have been a better husband, dad, or Papa. Dave loved his family with all his heart and soul. He will be missed by his family and countless friends.
Truly his love for others is that of legends. He was the first to arrive and the last to leave during times of need. His legacy is one of love, compassion, and his witness for the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the Gideons or St. Jude’s Hospital.
