Dear Editor:
We moved our company and 35 jobs to Powell in 1993. We immediately fell in love with a family who came at the same time to start a restaurant.
In the Nov. 23 Tribune, we were incensed to read that our deputy city attorney made an ethnic slur toward them at a City Council meeting in which they were having a subdivision hearing. To top it all off, the article indicated that some others present laughed.
This family is among some of the most hardworking people in Powell that we know. They give of themselves daily to make sure we have a place to find good food of the highest quality.
The City Council and everyone present at the meeting need to make a public apology for the fact that this could EVER happen in Powell. Thank you, Powell Tribune, for bringing this to our attention.
Sincerely,
Lloyd and Donna Sullivan
Powell
