Can we trust our government?

Dear Editor:

With the present situation that we are having, and since Bob Dylan just brought out a new song called Murder Most Foul, about JFK’s assasination, I thought it would be appropriate to point out something that has recently been published about the World Trade Center’s build number 7 (WTC7). This was the third building that collapsed on Sept. 11, 2001, supposedly due to office fires!

I personally did not realize that there was a third building that collapsed that day until several years later; many of you may still not know that there was a third building that collapsed on that day. When I saw videos of its collapse several years later and read that it was in free fall for about 2.5 seconds, I could not escape the feeling that it looked exactly like a controlled demolition, and many others thought the same.

After about seven years the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) brought out a modeling report that said WTC7 collapsed due to the office fires that were burning in floors eight to 16. They would not, however, release their data files and modeling programs so that these could be checked by independent researchers, which is the only scientific way to conduct a study of this type.

So the engineering department of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks (UAF) took four years to reanalyze the collapse of WTC7 in a completely independent manner. They have recently published a final report of about 120 pages that explains their analysis and conclusions, and one can get access to all their data files and modeling programs that produced the output data. Part of the reason for doing this was to know whether these types of buildings needed to be designed differently and the building codes changed, so that they would be safe.

A very good video discussion of this report can be found at, www.ae911truth.org/wtc7; it is about 46 minutes long. They discuss the modeling and show the collapse sequences assuming different conditions of failure in the building. The 2.5 seconds of free fall implies that the steel support framing had to be eliminated for about eight stories, or they could not match the sequence that was observed in the videos of the building’s collapse.

When the NIST report came out it was said to have put to rest any questions about what happened to this building, but the UAF report clearly proves otherwise, and points out many of the mistakes that the NIST report has.

If you want to be informed, and are not afraid to hear a different perspective rather than the “official story,” then check out the web page above and watch the video explaining the UAF report.
