Buffalo Bill Reservoir is close to being full

Cooler temperatures heading into the Fourth of July slowed the rise of Buffalo Bill Reservoir, but Bureau of Reclamation water watchers look for it to top off at a full pool any day.

The level of the reservoir stood at an elevation of 5,391.7 feet Monday morning, within 2 feet of a full pool.  The reservoir is considered “full” when the level is at the top of the active conservation pool, an elevation of 5,393.5 feet

Inflows into the reservoir were holding at about 6,200 cubic feet per second Sunday, with outflows at about 5,990 cfs.

Inflows spiked as high as 9,800 cfs twice during the month of June.
