The Trapper and Panther Summer Basketball Camp is set to kick off on Monday, giving kids from first grade through high school the opportunity to improve their skills on the court at Cabre Gym.
Check in for first-fifth grade begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday — before camp begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 11:30 a.m.
“My biggest hope is that these kids continue to enjoy the sport,” Northwest women’s coach Lauren Davis said. “The hope with the littles is that they associate basketball with fun.”
Davis alongside Powell High School girls’ basketball coach Chelsea Buher will be in charge of the camp, helping athletes grow and learn the game regardless of skill level.
Davis said that both high school and college athletes will be in attendance to help with the camp.
Middle school and high school grade kids will check in at 12:30 p.m. before turning around and performing drills and playing from 1-3:30 p.m.
Davis said both boys and girls are welcome to attend the camp, and the cost will be $120 for all three days.
Those wishing to register can find the registration link on nwctrappers.com under the camps tab, those wishing to find more information can contact Davis at 970-203-5102.
