Dear Honorable Park County Commissioners:

I wonder what the alternative solutions might be versus simply placing recycling fiscal support on the back-burner. Maybe there are feasible ways for our cities to fund recycling other than subsidies provided by the county.

Could the recycling boards in Powell and Cody seek funding through grants and revive our efforts to process recyclable materials that are most needed by our state? What about our local concerned citizens that want our communities to be environmentally responsible? Could some of our community leaders be interested in this area of concern enough to call on their constituents to join in and make an all-out effort to save our recycling processes at our local collection points by joining the campaign and helping with ideas, innovations, brainstorming, etc...?

Please convey my best regards to the county commissioners. I know they are very busy people and might appreciate more citizen involvement, so together, all of us might tackle the issues that we didn't face (in the past) when China was purchasing our garbage. 

What innovation opportunities might be within reach?  Why are Alabama and other states finding reasonable, common sense solutions... what are they doing that we could also consider as best practices here in Park County?
