Americans must stand up for voting rights

Dear Editor:

There are so many places to get facts, such as the internet, dictionary, encyclopedias, history books and even the Constitution of the U.S.A. So, before an opinion or judgment is voiced, GET THE FACTS. But be sure it is fact — not an opinion of someone who tickles your ears, or sounds good to you.

A fact: Socialism — as defined by the Encyclopedia Americana — CANNOT exist without democracy, meaning programs put in place by democratic means and paid for with tax money supplied by the people and paid out to workers or participants of the socialist democratic programs which this U.S.A. started with and still uses to this day. Some of the programs now, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Department of Transportation, police department, some prisons, libraries, all military personnel and staff, all local, state and U.S. government employees and staff, and the list could go on and on.

It rejects every form of imperialism and fights the oppression of exploiting of any people, and urges the strengthening of trade industry. If a totalitarian or a dictator should try to infuse themselves as supreme head over this type of government by someone or some group, or even appointing themselves, it is no longer a social democracy, but a dictator communist organization.

Americans need to be reinformed.

Another fact, also from Encyclopedia Americana, on how Adolf Hitler got to be supreme dictator over a democratically controlled German government that lasted four years between 1925-1929 after World War I: In about 1923, Hitler joined a group and took leadership and it became the Nazi party. Germany’s election in 1933 put the Nazi and the conservative party in control of the German government, the conservative party to be the checks and balance party of the two.

Hitler, with his political gift of mass propaganda and stealthy devices, soon raised passions and fears to a fever pitch against democracy, Jews and foreign powers. Hitler used every means of violence and fraud to make himself absolute ruler using mendacity — Websters defined as habitually telling lies — and using trickery too as an essential part of his arsenal. Thus pulverizing all democratic and conservative groups giving him sole reign over Germany. Then on June 30, 1934, Hitler held a blood purge, killing all in his own party, who was or might be opposition, and he removed all opposition from the military, probably with the same fate. Then all who were left in the Nazi party had to pledge an oath of loyalty and allegiance to Hitler.

So Americans, hoping an election several months away in November 2022 will restore the U.S.A. back to a good democratic government, may not happen, because between now and then, many places in the U.S.A. may not let legitimate elections happen, if they let elections happen at all, so they, in power, can retain their positions. The outcome of a dictator’s elections is predetermined, in the dictator’s favor.

Dictators protect their positions by surrounding themselves with their loyalists, appointing them to heads of government departments. Dictators suppress freedom of the press, free speech and voter rights. Dictators, if they have an election, do not let anyone run in opposition, if they are a threat to their position. The opposition will be imprisoned, put to death or never heard from again. (Check Putin’s last election in Russia.)

So America must have a massive movement, RIGHT AWAY, demonstrating against resisting Republican U.S. senators, to pass legislation demanding guaranteed voting rights to every U.S.A. citizen, being sure there are no voter suppression rules. Americans, call your state and national legislators and have them inform you what their action is going to be considering voting rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the U.S.A. GET IT DONE before any more voter suppression rules or laws are made by states, or groups or peoples, against this great DEMOCRACY and democratic process.
