A Saturday evening dinner and auction will raise funds to support Rylee Ramsey, a young woman from Powell who was seriously injured in a horse accident.

The Roundup for Rylee benefit begins with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. at The Eagles in Powell. Dinner will be served starting at 6 p.m. and includes a hand-cut steak, baked potato, salad and dessert prepared by Chef Ryan Gutierrez from WYOld West Brewery.

A live auction will follow at 7:30 p.m. and features a variety of items, including tickets to see the Denver Broncos take on the Los Angeles Chargers and a one-night stay at Emigrant Cabins in Montana.

Saturday night’s benefit will help the Ramsey family with medical costs.

Ramsey was practicing on horseback for the Cody Nite Rodeo on Aug. 27 when her horse was spooked by a gust of wind, throwing Ramsey. She suffered multiple lacerations, a linear skull fracture, a severe concussion and brain bleed.

As she recovers from her injuries, Ramsey had to put college on hold; she had planned to study radiology at Montana State University this fall.

Advance tickets cost $35 and are available at the Powell Chamber of Commerce, Powell Eagles or the Cody Chamber of Commerce; tickets are $40 at the door.
