Lynda Marie (Sarvey) King, 63, died Jan. 24, 2017, in Tampa, Florida.

Lynda was born on Nov. 3, 1953, in Glenrock. At just a few hours old, she was left on the doorstep of a couple who happily became her parents, Harry and Marie (Shoemaker) Sarvey.

She spent her school years in Billings, graduating from Billings Senior High School in 1972.

While she was living in Germany and working as a civilian employee of the military, she met her husband of 37 years, Tim King (1953-2014). They married in Billings on Oct. 8, 1977.

Shortly after, they relocated to Powell, where they raised their two children, Travis (1980) and Marymarie (1981).

Lynda obtained her associate’s degree from Northwest College, and worked in medical records at Powell Hospital for 16 years. She then spent 16 years as a legal secretary for Copenhaver, Kath, Kitchen & Kolpitcke, LLC.

As her children were growing up, she loved to have a houseful of family and friends, celebrating holidays and entertaining kids.

After her husband passed away in 2014, she shared her time between Florida and Montana. She spent time traveling, reconnecting with old friends and enjoying her granddaughters. Those who knew her, knew how much she loved her family, loved shopping and loved being surrounded with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marie Sarvey and her husband, Tim King.

Lynda is survived by her two children, Travis King (Dawn Sousa) of Hollywood, California, and Marymarie King (Matt Mavencamp) of Tampa, Florida, and her granddaughters, Elliana and Kyla Mavencamp.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be announced at a later date.
