The Northwest College men’s basketball team traveled to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for the North Idaho Classic over the weekend, opening the tournament with a win over Fairchild Air Force Base before dropping a pair to host North Idaho College.

The Northwest College men’s basketball team continued its winning ways over the weekend, taking down Williston State and Game Gear at the First Bank of Wyoming Shootout at Cabre Gym.

The Northwest College Lady Trappers basketball team won both its games at the First Bank of Wyoming Shootout on Friday and Saturday, thumping Williston State College 88-32 and winning over Eastern Wyoming College 80-72.

Safarov, Anau claim championship titles

The Northwest College wrestling team hosted the NWC Open on Sunday, with six teams on campus to compete. Trappers Nodir Safarov and Lisiate Anau both claimed championship titles, with Jeffrey Oakes placing second and Chayce Loveless taking third.

5 Trappers named Region IX All Conference

NWC’s Rodrigues named Region IX North Coach of the Year

After guiding the Northwest College men’s soccer team to a 5-5-1 record and an appearance in the NJCAA Region IX playoffs, first-year head coach Stan Rodrigues has been named the 2017 Region IX North Coach of the Year.

Powell High School’s junior varsity volleyball team ended the season undefeated in the conference. The team also only lost one game all season, with one game ending in a tie at a tournament for an overall record of 27-1-1.

The Northwest College men’s basketball team is off to a solid start, winning two of three games on the road to begin the 2017-18 season.

Lady Trappers win opener against LCCC

The Northwest College women’s basketball team officially began their season in Cheyenne last week, facing Laramie County Community College and leaving with a 72-63 win. The team traveled to Rock Springs that evening to play in the Western Wyoming Community College Classic against Snow College and Eastern Wyoming College. The Lady Trappers came up on the losing end of both games, 76-61 and 91-80, respectively.
