The Powell Panthers committed 14 turnovers and shot 31 percent from the field in a 61-50 loss to the class 2A Lovell Bulldogs Thursday night at Powell High School.
Looking to head into the winter break with a winning record, the Powell Panthers (2-4, 1-1) were unable to sustain a consistent offense or come up with timely stops in the frustrating loss.

It was a tale of two drastically different games for the Powell High School boys basketball team this weekend.
Powell split its first two home conference games, beating the Jackson Broncs 51-36 Friday night and then losing to the Star Valley Braves 59-39 Saturday afternoon.
The stats show two drastically different Panther teams, though neither game was Powell at its best.
School district considers drug, alcohol policy changes
Proposed revisions would lessen academic penalties
The punishments given to students who violate the Park County School District No. 1 alcohol, tobacco and drug policy may change under revisions to the current school code.
The new policy, which would reduce the number of out-of-school suspension days and reduce academic penalties, is designed to punish those who break rules while preventing them from falling too far behind in classes.
