Louis Lieberman, a beloved husband, died at Powell Valley Healthcare on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014. He was 97.

Glenna “Darlene” Munson died Sept. 18, 2014. She was 76.

A Powell volunteer firefighter was injured Thursday morning when he fell through the ceiling of a warehouse where a fire was smoldering.

Fireman Dustin Dicks was transported to Powell Valley Hospital at about 8:50 a.m. after being carried out of a warehouse in the 100 block of North Absaroka Street by other firefighters.

Patricia Marion Anderson, 91, of Cody, died at West Park Hospital Long Term Care Center on Sept. 13, 2014.

Rodney Edward “Pud” Boutelle, 53, of Cody, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, after a falling tree struck him on the head as he was cutting firewood in Sunlight Basin.

Glenn A. Stutzman, 99, died Sept. 15, 2014, at the Powell Valley Care Center where he had been a resident for the last eight years.

Kevin Edwin Murphy died peacefully on June 18, 2014, with his children and grandchildren close by his side. He was 80.

Jo Jayne Nickles, 55, of Cody, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at Spirit Mountain Hospice as a result of cancer.

The Powell Panthers football team will play its first home game of the season Friday night, the culmination of Homecoming week at Powell High School.

It will be the first time the team plays at Panther Stadium following the death of coach Jim Stringer. The defending three-time class 3A champions are undefeated in 3A play this season. The Panthers take on Riverton at 7 p.m. Friday.

Robert “Bob” Wayne Brown died suddenly on Aug. 28, 2014, in the beautiful Sunlight Basin with his beloved wife at his side. He was 65.
