The Powell High School tennis team recently handed out awards to its most improved, most inspirational and most valuable players of the fall season. Letter winners were also recognized at the Oct. 18 event.

The NWC soccer teams competed in the Region IX Tournament quarter finals over the weekend to end their seasons.

This Powell High School freshman football team finished their season 5-2, making their overall record since seventh grade 17-6.

The Powell Panthers scored on their opening drive against the Cody Broncs on Friday and kept the momentum going throughout the entire game, winning 47-21.

PHS runners shave time at meet

Both the boys and girls Panther cross country teams placed eighth at state in Sheridan over the weekend — and each runner improved on their previous times.

Panther volleyball went 1-1 in its last two matches of the regular season, being edged by Riverton on Thursday while beating Cody on Saturday.

Both matches were played at home.

Northwest College’s men’s and women’s soccer teams are heading to the postseason and looking to bounce back after a tough end of the regular season.

The Lady Panther volleyball team claimed the first six points against Lander’s Lady Tigers on Thursday and never let go of the lead. On Friday, Buffalo beat Powell High School in three sets.

A 48-0 blowout of the Jackson Broncs on Friday night secured the Panthers a spot in the first round of the football playoffs.

Panther cross country girls take fourth, boys fifth in Riverton

Powell High School cross country ran in their conference meet in Riverton on Friday with the girls placing fourth and having two All Conference finishers. The boys placed fifth.
