Twin Cities tournament comes to town

Little League event in its second season

The second annual Twin City All Star Little League baseball tournament will take place Friday and Saturday. The event, co-hosted by Powell and Cody, will see competition in both Majors (12-and-under) and Minors (10-and-under) age divisions.

Powell will serve as the host location for the Majors Division competition. Games start at 10:30 a.m. at the Little League ball fields in Homesteader Park. Friday action will consist of pool play games. Saturday’s play starts at 9 a.m. as the pools are bracketed for championship play.

A home run derby will also be held to allow youngsters to display their skills with the bat.

Minors Division play will take place in Cody. Like the games in Powell, Friday’s schedule will consist entirely of pool play games. Based on results, the teams will then be placed on a single-elimination bracket for Saturday’s action.
