Jennifer was born on March 30, 1980, in Powell, to James and Marie (Neves) Thomas.  She grew up in Lovell with her four brothers: Jason, William, Scott and Timothy.

She was active in many activities including 4-H, high school athletics and choir. She was the school newspaper editor and was a candy striper. She graduated from Lovell High School in 1998 and then attended Northwest College for a short time.

She moved to Missoula, Mont., in 1999 and worked as a nanny. She loved being a nanny and the family she took care of loved her. She then returned to Wyoming and began a family.

Jennifer married Michael A. McDougall on June 28,  2003.  They relocated to Denver, Colo., where Mike worked as a petroleum engineer. Jennifer graduated with honors as a medical assistant from Parks College in 2004. She graduated first in her class, with a 4.0 GPA.  She worked in dialysis until she left to care for her growing family. She enjoyed helping people through their lengthy dialysis procedures, even though the patients often times were unpleasant to work with.

In August 2009, they moved to Spring, in the Houston area, when Mike transferred to the engineering office there.

Jennifer was the loving mother of three children: Kirk, Paige and Jacob. She was excited to add another girl to the family who would be named Gwineth Elaine. She was a good friend with a cheerful personality and a caring spirit.  She enjoyed helping other people. Her children were her greatest joy.

Jennifer is survived by her children Kirk, Paige and Jacob McDougall; her parents James and Marie Thomas of Lovell; her brothers Jason Thomas (Darby) of Bridger, Mont., William Thomas (Grace) of Missoula, Scott Thomas (Dana) of Worland, and Timothy Thomas of Lakewood, Colo.; and her paternal grandparents, Ivan and Arthea Thomas of Shell.
