Powell High School graduates Danna Hanks and Lexee Craig both completed their freshman year of track and field competition at Dickinson State University with All-Conference honors while being part of the winning team at the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Craig earned her honors by winning the pole vault, clearing 10 feet.
Hanks, meanwhile, competed in four events, earning All-Conference honors in two.
Hanks ran a leg on the first place team in the 4x100 meter relay alongside Abby Honeymoon, Shelbi McGee and Lorna Shepherd for a time of 49.60 seconds. In the 400 meter hurdles, Hanks took third place in 68.68.
Hanks also earned a fifth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.14 and took third place on the 4X400 meter relay team alongside McGee, Shepherd and Paitton Herbst with a time of 4:17.03.
The NSAA outdoor track and field championships took place May 11-12 in Jamestown, North Dakota. Dickinson State’s Lady Bluehawks took first place with 241 points, ahead of 192 points from runner-up.
The women’s coach for Dickinson State University, Nick Walker, also won the NSAA Women’s and Men’s Coach of the Year. The men’s team won their third consecutive conference championship.
