Cody Seamless Siding on top in Powell Rec softball play

Through the first seven games of the Powell Recreation softball season Cody Seamless Siding sits atop the standings with a 6-1 record.

My Auto and Woodward Tractor Beavers both sit at 5-1 and Prime Power is the last team with a winning record at 4-2.

Here are scores and highlights from the season’s first half:

Cody Seamless Siding 19, Woodward Tractor Beavers 11

Prime Power 8, Powell Tribune 7

Prime Power scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat the still-winless Tribune team. Travis LeJeune led off the Tribune’s five-run fourth inning with a single but Prime Power’s Jade Cole drove in the tying and winning run in the sixth.

J&R Roughnecks 4, The Depot 2

All of the game’s six runs were scored in the first three innings. Arin Houle and Andy Fulton scored for The Depot and Kenny Parker scored the winning run for J&R.

My Auto 7, Red Zone 6

Jason Showalter scored the winning run in the seventh inning for My Auto, holding Red Zone winless through six games.

Woodward Tractor Beavers 18, Powell Tribune 8

A 13-run third inning was more than enough for the Beavers as the Tribune lost an early 2-0 lead. Tim Jordan and Scott Mangold each scored two runs while Ben Horton scored two for the Tribune.

My Auto 21, Prime Power 7

Koby Herd, Tyler Showalter, Allen Akin and Phill Sapp each scored three runs for My Auto.

Cody Seamless Siding 10, Red Zone 4

Red Zone took a 4-0 lead after two innings thanks to runs by Jeremy Love and Jimmy Weingartner, but the CSS bats came alive in the fourth. Ryan Van Gilder scored two runs for Cody.

Cody Seamless Siding 19, J&R Roughnecks 1

All 12 players for Cody reached base and scored a run against J&R. Geoff Hotivan scored the lone run for J&R.

Prime Power 11, Red Zone 8

Red Zone jumped out to a six-run lead in the first inning but Prime Power came back with a seven-run third inning. Lance Martin and Chris Croy each scored two runs in the victory.

Woodward Tractor Beavers 13, My Auto 12

My Auto blew leads of 9-0 and 11-2 to lose a one-run game against Woodward. The Beavers scored seven runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to seal the win.

J&R Roughnecks 17, Powell Tribune 11

The Tribune was poised to get its first win of the season but it couldn’t hold on to a late-game lead. Travis LeJeune scored two runs for the Tribune while Sawyer Coggins and Jermaine Broussard each scored three runs for J&R.

Cody Seamless Siding 15, The Depot 9

Justin Fowles and Van Gilder each scored twice for CSS, which took an early lead and never looked back. Anthony Lujan scored twice for The Depot.

Cody Seamless Siding 14, Powell Tribune 4

Cody won by the 10-run rule when the Tribune allowed 13 runs in the fifth inning.

Prime Power 16, Powell Tribune 10

Prime Power took an 11-0 lead in the third inning behind two runs each from Andy Gillett and Trevor Timmons. CJ Baker scored two runs for the Tribune.

My Auto 15, J&R Roughnecks 10

Koby Herd and Tyler Showalter each scored three runs for My Auto while two runs apiece from Steven Macleay and Steven Reed weren’t enough for J&R.

Woodward Tractor Beavers 14, Red Zone 2

Six of the Beavers’ nine players scored two runs in the 12-run win. Weingartner scored both runs for Red Zone.

Woodward Tractor Beavers 15, Prime Power 11

Prime Power led 9-2 after two innings behind three runs from Andy Gillett and Justen Cross but Woodward’s Heny, Clancy Moulten and Mike Durney each scored three runs in the win.

My Auto 14, Cody Seamless Siding 6

My Auto held Cody scoreless in five innings to hand Seamless Siding its only loss of the season. Koby Herd scored three runs for My Auto.

The Depot 14, Powell Tribune 3

Dillon Ohman, Chris England and Steve Games scored two runs each as The Depot picked up its first win of the season.

J&R Roughnecks 23, Red Zone 15

In the highest-scoring game of the season’s first half, J&R used four runs each from Flint Wilhelm and Kenny Parker to beat Red Zone. Weingartner and Jake Patterson each scored four runs for Red Zone.

Cody Seamless Siding 14, Red Zone 5

Vertz and Fowles scored three runs each to get Cody off to a strong start.

Prime Power 20, J&R Roughnecks 17

Prime Power scored nine runs in the second inning to out-slug J&R. Timmons and Cole each scored four runs for the victors. Kyle Henke scored four runs for the Roughnecks.

My Auto 20, Powell Tribune 10

My Auto won with two seven-run innings. Danny Showalter scored three runs for My Auto and the Tribune got two runs each from Dante Geoffrey, Dan Baney and Ben Horton.

Woodward Tractor Beavers 11, J&R Roughnecks 5

J&R scored three runs in the third inning behind Henke and Bill Goolsbey but a seven-run fourth inning from Woodward was more than the Roughnecks could handle. Ryan Schlueter and Tim Jordan each scored in Woodward’s big inning.
