“This is our yearly celebration, and we welcome spectators from across the Big Horn Basin to come see what Olympic-style Taekwondo is all about,” said Lone Wolf instructor Chris Ivanoff. “Lone Wolf Taekwondo has been in Powell teaching this very popular martial art to students for over 29 years. If you want to see the real stuff, this is it.”
Competitors of all belt ranks ranging from 5 to 65 years old will compete in full-contact sparring, forms and board breaking.
A choreographed demonstration by Lone Wolf students will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Last year’s event featured more than 185 competitors from 18 martial arts schools in Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Concessions will be available for sale as well as tournament T-shirts. Admission costs $5. Children ages 6 and under get in free.
