The Powell Pioneers will play their second game of the Wyoming State A American Legion Tournament in Gillette today (Thursday).

Depending on the result of Wednesday’s game against Rawlins, the Pioneers will play either Cody or Green River.

A win against Rawlins would mean Powell will play the Cody Cubs today (Thursday) at 4 p.m. Cody beat Green River 14-0 Wednesday.

A loss would send the Pioneers to the loser’s bracket, where they would have to win four games, beginning with Green River today (Thursday) at 9:30 p.m., to reach the championship game.

Powell is the North’s No. 1 seed, a position earned by sweeping Douglas in a best-of-three series July 25-26.

The rest of the North is No. 2 Douglas, No. 3 Cody and No. 4 Gillette.

The South is No. 1 Laramie, No. 2 Green River, No. 3 Evanston and No. 4 Rawlins.

The championship game will be held Saturday at 7 p.m.

All games will be held at Roughriders Stadium.

Individual game tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. Individual tournament passes are $25, student/senior passes are $20 and family passes (max. four people) are $60.

Games can be heard on KPOW 1260 AM, or by streaming live at www.network1sports.com/station/kpow.
