Three incumbents — Deb Kleinfeldt, Larry Parker and Bonita Katz — won re-election Tuesday to four-year terms in their seats on the Powell Hospital District Board of Trustees, defeating challenger Robert Murphy.

On Thursday afternoon, the Park County Elections Office announced that Gerri Ackley received the most write-in votes to claim a two-year seat on the board.

Despite expectations of a slight increase in enrollment at Northwest College this fall, a report shows the number of students attending the college is actually down slightly from last year.

Let’s face it. Infrastructure isn’t exciting. It’s often unremarkable or out of sight, and it can be overlooked.

A survey of Northwest College employees conducted earlier this year showed the highest satisfaction with the college’s student-centered focus, while the lowest rankings focused on institutional structure.
