She was born Alice Louise Clark, on Sept. 10, 1920 in Roseburg, Ore., to Zoe and Clarence Clark. In 1939 she married her lifetime love of 70 years, Fred Camposan, in Columbus, Mont.  They then honeymooned by hitchhiking to Cambridge, Mass., to introduce Billie to the Camposano family.
