Bonnie J. Kopp (nee Sanders) of Lisle, Ill., formerly of Naperville, Ill., and Chesterton, Ind., died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her home in Chesterton, Ind., while battling cancer. She was 57.

She was born June 1, 1955 in Lovell.

Bonnie was a graduate of Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was employed by I.T.G. Transportation in Lisle as the accounting manager for the last eight years. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing and spending time with her family and extended family at their home in Chesterton.

Bonnie was the beloved wife of John P. Kopp, whom she married April 30, 2011; loving mother of Jessica, Sarah and Katherine Curry and the late Jamie Curry; adored grandmother of Nicolas San Roman; cherished daughter of Eva and the late Leon Sanders; dear sister of Sharon Sanders, Leon (Diana) Sanders, Anita (Chris) Pelletier, Melanie (Ken) Sanders-Smith, Calvin (Jodie) Sanders and Steve (Sherry) Sanders, fond aunt of many.

Visitation will take place from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, Ill.

A service will follow Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Risen Lord Cemetery, Oswego, Ill., for graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
