Alvin Bernard Albers, 78, of Cody, died peacefully in his home with his wife and family on July 21, 2012 after battling numerous illnesses.

He was born on Feb. 25, 1934 to Carl and Caroline Albers in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married his sweetheart Linda Joy Lynn on Oct.17, 1964 and they lived in the Dallas and Houston, Texas, areas for more than 40 years. Al and Linda came to live in Cody, with their daughter Amy Tarbett and her family, in September 2009, where she helped take care of them. Al really liked Cody and the people there. He enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Center to have lunch with his wife and friends there. He especially liked to play bingo.

Al is survived by his wife Linda Albers; his three daughters: Angela (Richard) Tavebaugh, of Houston, Texas, Amy (Randy) Tarbett, of Cody, and Ann-Marie Albers of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren: Ryan and Ashley Tavebaugh of Houston, Texas, and Stephanie, Kelly, Brook, Tonya, Cody, Dylan, and Lilly Tarbett, all of Cody; and two sisters: Fran Seiter and Margie Haarmann of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rosary services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at The Church of St. Anthony. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Father Vernon Clark as celebrant. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery with military honors provided.
