Donnie ‘Don’ Everett Bowers

Donnie “Don” Everett Bowers of Lovell died on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Billings Clinic of lymphoma. He was 81.

Don was born Dec. 10, 1930, to Everett and Christena (Schrage) Bowers in Hardin, Mont.

Don met the love of his life, Evelyn Korell, in Lovell in 1948. They were married on March 27, 1949. From this union, they raised six children.

Don worked at various jobs during his many years of living in the Powell area. He particularly enjoyed selling farm machine to local farmers, where he made many friends. Don loved hunting, fishing and spending lots of time with his family. In 2008, Don and Evelyn moved to Lovell to be closer to family.

Don is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn, of Lovell; and children: Barbara (Bill) of Lincoln, Neb., Bonnie (Carlos) of Salina, Utah, Sherry of Gunnison, Utah, Randy (Cheryl) of Lovell, and Steve (Debbie) of Cody; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother Harvey (Sharon) of Byron; sister-in-law Alma (Don) Cardinal of Casper; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie; parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Pete and Katie Korell; and sons-in-law, Jack Malcom and Norm Netherton.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lovell. Burial of ashes will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.
